We’re excited to have launched our Seedlings at Schools initiative, working in partnership with local environmental charity Groundwork.
Thanks to all those who support Bettys Trees for Life initiatives we’re providing valuable environmental education to primary school children around Yorkshire.
The aim is for pupils to plant and nurture trees from native Yorkshire seeds, while learning about the importance of trees and our environment. The school children have already been taking part in a variety of tree activities from learning about a tree’s life cycle to exploring the school grounds for leaves and seeds and creating some fantastic environmental art pictures.
By the end of the school year we aim to have planted 3000 trees while giving local children the opportunity to get outside and really appreciate and respect the natural world on their doorstep.
