Back in 2007 we planted our 3 millionth tree at RHS Garden Harlow Carr. We’re working with the RHS to create a ‘Trees for Life’ wood which will bring to life how trees and woodland has been and continues to be vital for people and planet. In all it will host over 1000 trees, with an emphasis on native species, and will illustrate the uses of trees in transport, livelihoods, food and fodder, shelter and medicine as well as their fundamental role in helping to prevent and adapt to climate change. It’s been wonderful to see the woodland taking shape. Recently we had the help of local school children to plant willow whips and these are already springing up!
